Kindergarten Information Nights/ Open Houses

To assist in our planning for next year, we encourage families to register their children as soon as possible.

We have recently transformed our classrooms into a new exciting, enriching and
explorative environment in our school where our Junior Kindergarten students and Kindergarten students will learn collaboratively throughout the year. This space will provide the opportunity for combined learning and play-based activities but also provide the flexibility for each class to have their own space to focus on their specific learning goals. Our Kindergarten is looking forward to using our newly created space to further advance your child's skills. We look forward to sharing pictures as the transformation progresses and we are very excited for everyone to see it in September!

Programming Options

Our Kindergarten classroom provides literacy-rich, play-based programming which is led by a welcoming and dedicated early childhood teacher and enthusiastic educational assistants.

In addition, all of our early learners have access to our division’s School Linked Team to help your child succeed. This team’s dedicated members include a learning support teacher who will help to facilitate any additional supports or strategies to best suit your child's needs, a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, division psychologist and therapy aide.

Student Transportation

We invite you to contact our transportation department directly to learn more or get started early to reserve your child’s seat on the bus by registering online.

Family Involvement

Family engagement is one of our priorities at Niton Central School as your involvement is a key component in the success of your child's learning. We encourage you to get involved in your school community such as joining the School Council at your school, volunteering at our school, or by talking with your child’s teacher to learn about volunteer opportunities. Volunteer packages are available at the office.
