Accountability Survey
Dear Grades 4-9 Parents,
Each year, Alberta Education asks our students from grades 4-9, their parents, and their teachers to participate in the Accountability Pillar survey. This survey asks participants to provide feedback on a variety of categories such as Safe and Caring Schools, Student Learning Opportunities, Parental Involvement, and Continuous Improvement. The results of your feedback are then compiled into a report which is provided to the school and the school division. We at Niton Central School use these reports in our planning decisions for the upcoming school year.
Our students and staff participate in the Accountability Pillar survey at the school in an online format. As a result, participation rates from these groups is high. It is our goal to encourage as many parents to participate as possible, as NCS and Grande Yellowhead Public School Division believe that parents are an important part of their children’s education. Your voice can provide valuable insights into providing an excellent educational program for all of our students. It is for this reason that we are asking for your support and valued feedback.
In mid-January, Alberta Education began mailing out survey information to parents across Alberta, including parents of our Grades 4-9 students. If you have not yet received this information in the mail, you should in the near future. Survey questions are multiple choice and the survey typically takes between 10 and 15 minutes to complete online. The staff at NCS would like to invite you to respond to this survey to provide us with the best possible information to map the road to continuous growth and improvement. The survey can be completed at home, or should you prefer, computers will be set up at NCS during Parent-Teacher Interviews for you to complete the survey at the school. Please remember to bring the paperwork you received in the mail from Alberta Education to the school to complete the survey here.
